Established in 2009, Designer Shades was started to bring a healthy and beautiful way to achieve a bronze glow all year long to the Phoenix area. Being known as Arizona’s premier spray tanning salon, we have thousands of happy, bronzed clients. In 2011 Designer Shades proudly partnered with DaVinci Teeth Whitening to be able to offer extremely affordable and painless teeth whitening to the valley. In April 2012 Designer Shades opened its second location in the beautiful DC Ranch neighborhood of North Scottsdale. As Designer Shades grows, we remain a locally owned and family run business. Sisters Christina and Cherie oversee our 2 valley locations ensuring each client gets our signature “celebrity” treatment.
Meet Chris
Chris has a background in Business and Operations Management. Being very fair skinned and realizing that tanning beds and laying out in the sun would ruin her skin, she turned to spray tanning. She was hooked! But, she was tired of less than perfect results and high prices of competitors.
Partnering with world renowned Norvell Tanning and South Seas Skincare, Christina has spent countless hours mastering the art of spray tanning. She loves meeting new clients and seeing familiar faces of tan-aholics each week. With local celebrities, fitness competitors, models, vacation seekers, moms and high-schoolers rounding out a diverse clientele, Christina makes sure each client received the “celebrity” treatment they deserve. Being a true perfectionist, she will go out of her way to make sure your results are flawless and your experience is memorable. She has a great sense of humor and knows how to make you feel comfortable. Chris has been featured in So Scottsdale magazine, Fox News, Your Life A to Z and Sonoran Living.
