Ive been trying to find a good spray tanning place for years and I am pleased to say I finally found it! I was so happy with my spray tan. It was perfection and it only took 20 mins tops. I highly recommend designer shades. I felt totally comfortable and I am so excited for my next spray tan.

This charming little place not only has the BEST custom spray tan around – they can also whiten your teeth and have a rotating selection of adorable summer dresses on the cheap! If you are sick of being orange or baking under the harmful uv rays check this place out! First time clients get a discount! I will never go anywhere else!

Designer Shades is the only place I will get a spray tan. The use Norvell – which doesn’t make you orange. You are sprayed by an individual and not just thrown into a booth and left on your own. This is the most natural looking spray tan I’ve seen – and trust me…I’ve had A LOT! You can wear whatever you’re comfortable with and they girls are all super friendly and make you feel comfortable.

I am fair skinned, redhead, freckled and I’m also an esthetician so I also take skin health seriously. The laying out or a tanning bed isn’t an option for me. I am probably the pickiest person when it comes to spray tans. I’ve been through the stand up booths and it was awful and embarrassing with the orange color and streaking lines from the “mist”. About a year ago I saw a groupon for Designer Shades and thought I would give it a shot. I’ve never looked back!!!!! I’m OBSESSED! I I just bought the unlimited package too!!! Chris and Whitney are FANTASTIC and extremely professional. I just met Whitney for the first time today and loved her! She did a phenomenal job. I feel so much better about myself when I have color to my skin but not at the cost of sitting in a booth, I’ll pass. Good service is hard to come by these days! But you’ve gained a life long client and I tell everyone about you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to come to Chandler eventually too

I have tried numerous spray tanning places and hands down this is a great place to go. My skin is very sensitive, blotchy and uneven and this spray tan just made my skin look beautifully bronzed. I went light the first time but plan to go darker this week.
If you are looking for an affordable spray tan that’s done right go here! SERIOUSLY!

I have been to many spray tanning salons in Phoenix/Scottsdale. I was very happy with not only Christina but the tan as well. I was going on vacation and the tan lasted the entire time. I felt better about the clothes I wore on my trip and the tan looked so natural. She did an amazing job of giving me an even tan and making me feel comfortable during the session. She is very nice and professional. I would recommend Designer shades to anyone looking for a good spray on tan.

I’ve never written a review for anything but had to come on here and give Designer Shades a great review! I originally went last year because I got a Groupon for 2 spray tans but now this is the only place I will ever go for a spray tan because it has always been a great experience. I’ve been three times and the tans always turn out perfectly. I get tons of compliments on them and they last for well over a week. Friendly, professional and they do great work. Definitely recommend!

I am so excited that Designer Shades has come to Scottsdale! I have been driving across town to see Chris at the Glendale salon for every other week spray tan fix. A friend referred me last year and I was hooked. I’ve tried other places, but none are as detailed as Chris and she knows how to make you feel very comfortable. I tried the teeth whitening during the Grand Opening and was impressed! The price was great and my teeth look awesome! I also picked up a cute summer dress while I was there. If you’re looking for the best spray tan in town, run in to Designer Shades Scottsdale before the secret is out! Congratulations on your great new space Chris!

I’m one of those poor unfortunate souls who is perpetually translucent despite hours of basking in the arizona sun….and forget about tanning beds, spray booths, or self tanners.I am an OCD perfectionist when it comes certain things, and my spray tan is one of them. Trust me, I have had the horrific uneven orange glow, been drippy, spotty. and smelly from previous experienced snd when I say Chris and Whitney do an amazing job…I mean it!. I started seeing Chris last summer and have yet to be disappointed. I have extremely dry skin and was beyond annoyed when my tan continually kept coming off uneven, but through much trial and error, and patience, Chris has helped me to find the right combination of products to keep my tan even and pretty as long as possible. The prices are amazing, and the service is exceptional. I am so glad I found Designer Shades! It is pretty awesome to see yourself with a nice glowing tan ( that didn’t require a gallon of aloe, a 3rd degree burn, a week of nakedness, and a week of sloughing).
Great tanning results! My tan is dark and even, no streaking and a perfect color. The staff is very nice and professional! Highly recommend!!

I had never had a spray tan before, I have always wanted to try it but I was never that comfortable. I finally did and boy was it worth it!! Shanna and Chris are very professional and made me feel totally at ease. Shanna did an amazing job!!! Seriously these girls know how to hide things like my fat thighs and abs. Remember 300???? They could probably make you look like that if you wanted!! Do yourself a favor and go get a tan for an instant self esteem boost, trust me!! I was not looking forward to wearing a bathing suit right now in this smoldering weather and after the tan I feel so much better looking at myself in the mirror!!! What girl couldn’t use some of that??!?!?! Thanks ladies you rule!!
P.S. This seems like it would be a great alternative for the summer when you are getting laser treatments and aren’t supposed to be in the sun which is pretty damn impossible living here.

I work across from Chris in the Monogram Salon Suites and have had several tans from her and recently tried the teeth whiteneing. Her work is outstanding and so is her personality! She works smoothly and is very comfortable to be around. I have loved every one of her tans and the teeth whitening is amazing! She is very professional and talented, and prides herself in customer satisfaction – you cannot get this kind of personalized service everywhere you go, that’s why her reviews are awesome and Designer Shades is growing! Chris offers a premium service at a great price. I paid 1/4 of what I usually pay for teeth whitening with the exact same results. In addition, Chris pays attention to small details which enhance the overall session… like a massage chair, frequent personal attention and a genuine interest in her customer’s satisfaction. As far as I’m concerned, there’s only 1 place in the valley to have your teeth whitened.

CHRIS = a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!! I read all the positive reviews and after my 2nd spray tan with Chris I am addicted! She is so professional and so great to talk to! She is super talented with the color and the shading. This is really an art and Chris definitely has the talent. I feel like I have abs after she tans me! She is so great to talk to which is great when you are standing naked in front of her She is absoultely wonderful! After getting skin cancer myself from being a tan-a-holic in the tanning bed (don’t do it!) Chris has made me feel beautiful in my skin without harming my body.

Chris is so professional and a perfectionist which I absolutely love! I have been going to her for the last two months but I previously never got spray tans before and now I’m kind of addicted. They look so good. I was always worried I would turn out uneven, orange, or just not natural. My first time we decided to do more natural which was perfect! Then next time I felt comfortable enough to go much darker which my husband loved very much!! When I found out she did teeth whitening too which I only had done with the trays from my dentist. Again, she did an awesome job and I had no sensitivity issues at all! My teeth look like I should be on a commercial for a dentist!! Very clean and professional office!! Also, right off the freeway so easy to get to. I will only go to her for both! I definitely recommend her 100%.

I’ve been going to Chris for 6 months now for amazing spray tans, but just recently I went to get my teeth whitened and I LOVE the results! I got a full 3 shades whiter! I was very pleased! She was guiding me step by step to make sure I was happy with what would be the final result! Cant wait to go back for more spray tans, and more teeth whitening down the road. Chris IS the best. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Chris does an incredible job with airbrush tans. I’m a newbie and she walked me through the process and made me feel completely comfortable. My tan has lasted 10 days! Chris is AMAZING. She always gives me a flawless spray tan, listens to my requests and the end result is perfect!! She is now doing DaVinci Teeth Whitening, and it was my first time ever getting my teeth whitened. She explained everything step by step, was very professional and made sure i was part of the process. The 60 minute session was so easy, and i LOVE LOVE LOVE the finished product. i got 4 shades lighter in one hour. And it looks like i paid 500 bucks, when i didn’t pay anything near that. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

Great new space. Chris is fun to talk with as you stand in front of her naked for minutes at a time … good bedside manner. Tan lasts nearly a week for me. I always end up with a weird orangey wrist witch i wish we could correct. it’s not for lack of trying on chris’s part. either way, i leave feeling thiner and prettier without hazardous sun rays. i really have to be careful about that being a child of the 80s when, not only did we go to tanning booths, we smeared baby oil all over the place to get that fabulous golden tan. This does the trick just as well. Big Fan

Love love love my tans. Chris always gives me the most natural and dark tans that I can’t get enough of. I have brought in many friends and we are all addicted. No one else I’ve tried is so detailed and pricing is great – I love my package rate! My husband likes my tan so much he’s going this weekend to get his own. Absolutely pleased! My tan lasted nearly 2 weeks. I followed the prepping instructions on Christina’s website before my visit to help get a lasting natural glow. She really seems to take pride in her work and pays great attention to detail making sure all areas were even and covered.

Chris was absolutely delightful! This was my first experience with spray tanning and she totally put me at ease. She talked me through each step and I looked amazing when I left. I must say, she is VERY accommodating and will work with you if your schedule is a bit crazy and you need to squeeze in a spray tan before an event. I will definitely be one of her regulars!
Beautiful, healthy glow! Christina is truly a perfectionist and gave me a great tan in just a few minutes. It was an easy and healthy way to acheive a natural looking AZ bronzed body! I followed her instructions and my tan lasted 11 days. I will definitely be back again.

Christina is great! She makes you feel super comfortable and makes you look great. The products she uses look natural unlike a lot of the other spray tan companies who make you look orange and streaky. If you have a special occasion or just want to be tan with out sitting in the sun, going to her is absolutely worth it.

Chris is wonderful! With summer coming up I needed some color and I don’t lay out due to skin cancer history in my family. The girls in my family are always looking for a great spray tan that is even and doesn’t have too strong of an odor. Chris spray tanned me last week and I am really pleased with the results. And not to mention, she is so sweet and extremely professional. Going back to see her before I head out of town in two weeks!
Christina is amazing! She did me and my mom over the weekend, and the tans turned out great. I have done mystic before and the color is always somewhat orange, with the product Christina uses the tan looked natural and even. I would absolutely recommend her to everyone.

I had an amazing experience at Designer Shades with Christina. She did a perfect job, I look amazing!!! I was worried that the color may fade quickly or I would turn orange… but none of the above happened. All I got was a beautiful tan. I will be a client for life!
Chris was amazing! I didn’t feel awkward like I thought I was going to since I found her online and even though I just got home from seeing her, my tan isn’t orange and looks totally natural! I will definietly be seeing her again and again!
I had my first airbrush tan last night and it was awesome! Chris is a real professional, I was at ease and comfortable the entire time. She is very knowledgeable and quick- but detailed. I had been so hesitant because I’ve heard horror stories and seen terrible results on other people. No orange here! If you are getting married, going on vacation, getting pictures taken, having a party… I can think of a million reasons to call Chris! I can’t wait to get another!!!

BEST SPRAY TAN EVER. Seriously. Previously to finding Designer Shades, I had only ever had uneven, orange spray tan experiences. I was very reluctant to do it again, but I was white and nearly see through and had notime to get real sun, so off to DS i went. Talk about a great experience. Chris was super nice, explained what she was doing every step of the way and got every spot of my body. My knees and elbows were even with the rest of me, no splotchy splotches and no orange hands. I even was able to bring my kid and come in the evening. So flexible. Last time I went, I tried the darker shade and it turned out AWESOME. I looked awesome for my vacation and about 3 weeks later it has faded away completely. Full color lasted over a week! I tan in just my under roo’s, but you can tan in whatever your comfy in. Total private and Chris is super professional. Absolutely recommend. I don’t tan very often, but after finding DS i will NEVER tan anywhere else again! LOVE DS!
I love my spray tan I met Chris last week for my first spray tan. I wanted to be really dark for Halloween. She reviewed the options for my tan and talked me out of a color that would have been too dark for me (I was wanting to be a little orange). I did a bronze color that was perfect! Chris is a perfectionist, she’s so sweet, and got me in the same night at 9pm so I would be tan in time for my party. I will be back for sure. Thanks for the great spray tan Chris!

Wonderful …So excited for my wedding tan! I did a trial bridal tan with Chris before my bachelorette trip. I just loved the color. She recommended the lighter natural shade for wedding tans in order to look very natural on my wedding day and not look like I fake baked. She was right on – the color was beautiful. She is tanning me and my entire bridal party next month, at my house, at 10pm! She is so great to work with AND her prices are very fair. Thanks Chris!

A great tan every single time! I have spent the last couple of summers getting spray tans in an effort to avoid the unhealthy damage of the tanning bed. This summer I tried Designer Shades for the first time and fell in love. Chrstina is extremely knowledgeable and informative. With her meticulous attention to detail and her unbelievably flexible schedule (I got an emergency spray tan at 10:00 PM on a Friday night once) she is definitely my favorite. My tan looks great everytime!

Absolutely Perfect Tan! I absolutely love my new tan! My skin has a very even glow to it even with my stretch marks and sun blemishes. I never had thought I would look and feel so great after getting a spray tan. Chris is a perfectionist so I new she was going to do the best job! I would definitely referr friends and family to her again.

I had AWFUL experience in the past with spray tans – uneven, orange and streaky, super silly looking knees/elbows, and swore I would never do it again. But I tried Designer Shades and can’t believe how great it was. My tan was beautiful and golden brown, totally even and it lasted over a week! It even faded evenly so it didn’t look like I had a blotchy tan washing off. I will DEFINATELY not only come back everytime I need a tan, but I will tell every un-tan person I know to use Designer Shades. Besides the tan looking great, Chris was so sweet and professional. I missed my appointment and she was so nice to reschedule for me and didn’t even complain about it. She explained what she was doing and what everything she was using was and how it worked and what to expect. AMAZING. i give her and designer shades an A+!!

Glowing for my Honeymoon Christina from Designer Shades is a gem! I called her at the last hour in an attempt to get a spray tan the night before we left on our honeymoon. Now I wish I would have done it before our actual wedding. Blame it on being a totally overwhelmed bride. She actually let me come over at 10:00pm that same night! She gave me a beautiful bronze tan, my new hubby loved it! He was secretly wishing he didn’t look so white next to me on the beach. Christina was very sweet and informative. She even told me a few secrets, like using a water proof sun block before I went in to the ocean to help my tan last longer. My tan was beautiful and with her specials I am excited to stay tan all summer long! I can’t say enough good things about Designer Shades.

Awesome Tan! I went to Chris at Designer Shades, a friend told me about her and she was really nice and helpful. I got in right away! She took her time applying the shade, making sure there were NO streak marks. The tan looked great and did not rub off on my clothing at all. I can’t wait to go again!

My tan looks so good!
After years of sun worshiping, I finally realized how unhealthy baking in the sun is for my skin. But, a girls gotta have a tan in the Arizona summer. A friend told me about Designer Shades Spray Tanning. I called Chris and she got me in the same day. She explained everything I needed to know and took her time really perfecting my spray tan. Her pricing was very competitive and her products were surprisingly wonderful. No orange tint and no smell – yes, I’ve heard those horror stories. She gave me the option of a darker bronze or a natural sun kissed shade. I went with the natural and boy did I look hot on my vacation.
Tip: Refer 2 friends and your next spray tan is free. I love this!
